Pharma-Kongress 2012 – a review

Last week I participated in the “Pharma-Kongress 2012” in Neuss. The Pharma-Kongress 2012 is a congress which is a collection of eight different conferences related to most recent topics of the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to the conferences there was a trade fair with more than 80 exhibitors. This congress is convened annually by Concept Heidelberg and the conferences are either in German or in English.
I did not know anything about this conference before I accepted the invite to speak at this conference.
Actually, it was really a very positive congress. The mixture of topics as well as the variety of top-class speakers was a good experience.
My talk was related to Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The title of my presentation was “Neue Einsatzgebiete für die RFID Technologie in der Pharma-Industrie – ein Praxisbericht” (“New areas of application for RFID in the pharmaceutical industry – a field report”). I talked about experiences out of the Bayer HealthCare’s RFID projects. I good really positive feedback, which is also a result of the concept of the congress. The advantage of the congress is that you have a ticket which is valid for all conference. The conferences are taking place simultaneously, which means you can decide which presentations you want to visit. Therefore you can assume that your participants are really interested in your specific presentation. A really good experience. I think I will visit the Pharma-Kongress again; maybe already next year.
